Hi there! I'm new and I don't get a lot of the abbreviations use in the quick notes. Dictionary, please?

publics, or publicas on or off, means that a person is turning on or off public quicknotes.

this is great I just guess some times they come out with new crap everyday that I just dont get so i wait till someone that I wouldnt be imbarrised about asking comes around then i ask them yeah some stuff they say can be strange but hey its all good

Grins just means grins. A really big smile. Also, JK means just kidding, *g* means grin, *eg* means evil grin, as opposed to eg, which means for example. Um, what else? IMHO means in my humble opinion. TTFN is tata for now. TTYL, talk to you later. VT is ventrillo, the voicechat program. IM is instant messenger. Then there's the emotacons, like :P =) :-( =O <3 etc, but people don't use those much on here since they're not speech friendly. Any others need defining?

Wow, this has been helpful for me too. When I first joined I just figured a lot of this stuff out for myself, but it did take time. The only one I never figured out was IMHO, so thanks. I'm assuming then, that IMO, which I also see a lot on other boards, means in my opinion (without the word humble).
